Amateur astronomers and academic institutions from around the world are now able to take direct control of telescopes, or request observations to be completed. Remotely operated telescopes allow for the democratizing of science by removing a major barrier to entry in the world of astronomy. Using these services requires a working knowledge of observational techniques and an understanding of the targets and the desired data. Here you will find a list of observatories that have made their resources available to the public in whole or in part. Click on the ‘learn’ menu above to access our educational modules if you would like to find out more about using these systems and collecting data.
Following this description should be a comprehensive list of observing programs, and maybe a link to a wiki page that we can keep updated. It might be possible to display the wiki contents here, but I can’t mess with that until we’re on our own server with final installation.
